
TATIA SKHIRTLADZE
Artist. Cultural Narrator. Filmmaker.
Born in Tbilisi, Tatia Skhirtladze graduated in Art Education in Georgia and Austria and in Fine Arts in the Netherlands. Currently she is a lecturer in video at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and develops educational contents on audio-visual artistic practices. Her artistic interest focuses on site-specific and long-term conceptual artistic solutions. Her latest documentary "Glory to the Queen" about four female chess stars of the Cold War era is a cinematic reflection on how women's rebellion against powerful male systems echoes in individual and collective life stories.
