DEAR CELL

The project Perception of Self and Nonself in Life is about the perception of being in accordance with the basic principle of immunology, which distinguishes system affiliation. The researcher/researched object relationship is reversed and viewed from both sides. The contributions of 17 researchers from the Institute of Modern Immunology CIML form the artwork Dear Cell. Shortly after completion, the pandemic emerged and a vaccine was developed within a very short time. The project seemed like the new reality, where the individual recognises him/herself as part of the whole and hope for empathy and togetherness is justified.

EVE AND EVE

Empathy is the theme of the project We are also what we are not. However, it coincides with a war that is close to us, because the generation that would never have wanted to fight the previous one is still alive. So what happens to empathy when we are faced with a decision that means life or death and when "self" and "not-self" become alternatives? What will we do with our capabilities while another conflict breaks out?  Eve and Eve (2022) shows what we are able to do: Create and Destroy.

Empathy and variable realities. Communication occurs when identification happens.
