Music can create a new awareness of hidden realities. My aim is to use contemporary music to relate, question and thus reinforce social patterns, structures and identities in an original, meaningful way.
— Judith Fliedl
The reason why I make music is the opportunity to make connections. My great desire is to create concert experiences that place the ‘shared experience’ of performers and listeners at the centre. The audience plays a very important role in my work. New music helps me to break down patterns and structures and get to know my audience. I want to share my music and, for me, a work can live best when listeners experience it together with me.
